BOARD OF ADVISORS
Diana was chief reporter of the Sidmouth Herald, when she learnt about the Buturi Project. She was able to produce publicity material for local publications on behalf of the charity and was delighted to accept the role of Patron.
“I had always supported Judith when she had a shop in Sidmouth High Street and became very interested in helping her with her initial fundraising to supply fresh water to her home village in Tanzania. I believe Africa as a whole has had a raw deal when it comes to receiving charity money, so a locally formed charity seemed an ideal project to back.”
Now retired from journalism, latterly as news editor of The Sidmouth Herald, Diana is chairman of the Trustees of Kennaway House, a community centre for the arts and culture in Sidmouth, and helps run the charity on a daily basis.
Diana is married with two grown-up daughters, the eldest of whom has volunteered to help renovate a school in Zambia. Her expertise and passion for the community will help carry forward The Buturi Project.
